Mickey A. Carter Jr. is a concept artist, character designer, writer, and creative director based in South Florida. He is the founder of Mickezilla Studios, a creative branding and illustration company built to promote and deliver his original design work and narrative vision.
Mickey brings together a diverse background in instructional design, graphic arts, and visual storytelling. His multidisciplinary career spans logo design, historical illustration, branding, portraiture, worldbuilding, and narrative illustration. He is also the founder of MACJR Design and owns and operates a full-service print and marketing shop, giving him experience across every stage of creative production, from idea to execution.
As the creator of Dirk the Duppy and CrossoverWorld, Mickey blends philosophy, theology, and comic book sensibility into a style that is visually dynamic and thematically deep. His work is marked by bold silhouettes, culturally rooted aesthetics, and stories that ask timeless questions about identity, truth, and meaning.
Whether directing campaigns or designing characters, Mickey’s goal remains the same:
To make the invisible visible, and to make it unforgettable.
